More Poetry

How does one adequately
Measure the amount of worth someone
Has to them?
Does that task require every
Drop of water in existence throughout
Galaxies upon galaxies til far out space
And sand covering the seafloor to the
Smallest sandbox in a child's backyard?
Would one need to count every
Animal of every specie, discovered and unknown
Each and every strand of hair
Is everything in existence needed to be counted
To have an idea of what one's worth to another?
The task is daunting and long
But to have an idea it must be done
Though it's far greater than that and the
Sum of their parts
To know how much you mean
To me
It's far greater than the strength of any storm
Or any problem thrown our way
For darling, I love you
Through all our days
And this may be too much to ask but
Do you  love me the same?
