Melted Silver

I have sat here
For what will have seemed
To be but one thousand years
Trying to phrase how I feel
But my tongue of silver
Melts to be recast later
When I try to utter a word
I think it's the way your hair falls
And the bony structure of your hands
So thin yet sturdy
As much as the intelligence gleaming
Behind the reflection in your eyes
And the witty sense of humour
Rolling like the waves from your mouth
But you turn my head to melted silver
Where I keep the words to describe you best
You melt my heart to a state of security
Where to you I will rest the worries of my head
And you recast my very being
Making me far greater than before
For it is in fact you
That I have fallen for
